Hey hey! I’m pretty busy right now. Moved for a second exchange semester. This time to the French part of Switzerland, Lausanne. A lot is going on: many new people, learning French, studies and so on. Already fell in love with this city! Unfortunately my camera is still at home. Got to take it with me, when I go home on a weekend. And then I hope I will find time to take some pictures and show them to you :)! So far you can see some I took with my mobile on Instagram.
// Hey hey! Bin zur Zeit sehr beschäftigt. Bin für ein zweites Austauschsemester umgezogen. Dieses mal in den französischen Teil der Schweiz, Lausanne. Es ist viel los: viele neue Leute, Französisch lernen, studieren und so weiter. Hab mich bereits in die Stadt verliebt! Leider habe ich meine Kamera zuhause gelassen. Muss sie beim nächsten Mal einpacken, wenn ich übers Wochenende nach Hause fahre. Und dann hoffe ich, ich werde Zeit finden, um ein paar Fotos zu machen und sie euch zu zeigen :)! Watching Fireworks.

Man neigt ja oft dazu das Offensichtliche zu fotografieren. Im Falle eines Feuerwerks ist das meist -stellt euch vor- das Feuerwerk. Da ich nicht so ein Fan von Feuerwerk bin, habe ich versucht meinen Fokus bewusst zwischendurch auf andere Sachen zu lenken. Zudem sollte man ja als Fotograf auch immer das Licht beobachten (sollte ich öfters machen). Was ist als Übung geeigneter als ein Feuerwerk?! Dabei ist mir aufgefallen, dass man das Feuerwerk in der Gesichtsfarbe der Zuschauer wiederfindet. Die wechselnden Gesichtsfarben zu beobachten, kann auch interessant sein. Das erinnert mich auch ein bisschen an die Wohnzimmerfenster, die die Farben wechseln, wenn jemand TV sieht. Man sieht zwar den Fernseher nicht, weiss aber trotzdem, dass jemand TV sieht. Achtet euch mal darauf ;-)!

What is more appropriate for an exercise than fireworks?! While doing the observations, it struck me that you can find the fireworks in the face colour of the people. Observing the constantly changing face colour can be interesting as well. It reminds me of the windows of a living room which are switching the colours while someone’s watching TV. You can’t see the television, but you know someone’s watching TV because of that. Pay attention next time ;-)!
